Kielo; CH Lighthouse Kielo at Bearspaw TKN TKI NS BTC-48
Kielo was our very first Finnish Lapphund who Britt bonded exceptionally well with in the conformation ring during Kielos puppy career. Originally, Kielo was not supposed to be ours, as she lived with Nicole and Leeza Prokopishyn of Bearspaw kennel, but after watching Kielo and Britt grow as a pair, she came to stay. She has been a wonderful addition to our family, and we are excited to see all the things she can do in her future. At just 7 months old, Kielo achieved her CKC Championship, since completing this milestone, she has decided she is not a fan of the show ring. She has moved on to do trick dog titles and is titled in ACK with her Trick dog Novice as well as Trick Dog Intermediate, she is also titled through Do More With Your Dog with her Beat The Clock 48 seconds, having achieved 12 tricks in 48 seconds or less. She has gained a love for running, and enjoys doing sprinters when the weather allows it. In January 2023 she deliver a beautiful litter of 6 puppies and made an exceptional mom. Gram; In The Wild a Gram of Bearspaw NTD
Gram is the very first bred by dog that we have. We were given the wonderful opportunity to breed his mom Kielo, to our dream boy Peikkovuoren Peski and were given a beautiful litter of 6. Gram was stunning from the moment he was born with bright pigmentation, and gorgeous colours. As he grew and matured, we knew he was going to be a show stopper. He had a fun beginning to his career, showing in the baby puppy ring, and getting to travel Alberta with us as we went to different shows. Unfortunately after his baby puppy career, he ended up with and injury that resulted in him having an ear amputation. At just 12 weeks of age, he showed off his skills by earning his Do More With Your Dog Novice Trick Dog title making him one of the youngest Finnish Lapphunds to earn that title. In early 2024 we brought him back out to show some more. He took to being a show dog like a pro and finished his Canadian Championship in 3 short weekends. Gram is the first Finnish Lapphund to achieve a CKC conformation title with an amputation. He is owned and bred by Britt and Cody Evans, Nicole and Leeza Prokoishyn.
Mose; Bearspaw Savio Noaidi In The Wild
Mose was a bit of an “unexpected” puppy as we were not looking at the time. In 2021, Jayden our eldest son, expressed an interest in having a wolf sable Finnish Lapphund to call his own. While we were keeping our eye out for the right candidate, nothing really came up. In late 2023 I got a message from our co-breeders Nicole and Leeza that the perfect puppy came up with an amazing pedigree. Jayden jumped right on this opportunity. Mose has been a great addition to the family, and a wonderful friend for Jayden. She hit the show ring in 2024 making her appearance as a baby puppy, shown by Jayden. And continued to show like a star taking a Best Puppy in Speciality show at the Finnish Lapphund Club of Canada Regional Specialty. We have high hopes for this girl in the conformation ring, performance ring as well as at home being the best friend to a little boy who loved her so much. She is owned by Britt Evans, Cody Evans, Jayden Evans, and co-owned and bred by Nicole and Leeza Prokopishyn.
Karhu; Peikkovuoren Banccu
In April 2024 Karhu made the trip from Finland to Canada to join our pack. When Karhu first got to Canada we wanted to focus on building a solid bond, he didn’t hit the CKC show ring until he was 10 months old. His first time out in the show ring he took Winners male x3 and a Best of Winners to put him half way to his CKC championship at his first show. He attended at UKC fun match in the summer as a baby puppy taking Best Baby Puppy in Group. In September 2024 he attended a herding instinct test and passed with flying colours. Karhu will contiune to strut his stuff in the show ring in 2025.He is owned by Britt Evans, Cody Evans, Leeza Prokopishyn, and Nicole Prokopishyn. He is Bred by Taina Friman and Ari Friman from Finland.
Riot; In the Wild Kuusi Grown at Bearspaw
Riot is our spunky Kielo daughter. From the moment Kielo passed her health exams, we have always wanted a daughter from her to always have a part of her in our home, Riot gave us everything we could ask for. She stays true to her name and causes a riot everywhere she goes. Though she has not hit the show ring yet, we are excited to see what she will do. Her happy, energetic personality will make her a spectacular show dog when her time comes. She is owned by Britt Evans, Cody Evans, Leeza Prokopishyn, Nicole Prokopishyn, Isaac Cook, and Kaden Lou Springer.
